Thursday of the festival is the 4th of July 🗽, so we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to cast our ears across the pond and delve into the rich history of American music.
Following in the tradition of the great GTSF collective concerts, we'll bring together a series of festival artists to play the classics their way. This will take place on Thursday evening on the FOLK STAGE.
The "Great American Songbook" is traditionally seen as the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards of the early to mid-20th century. Our version will expand to encompass all the great songs of the last 100 years or so, be it blues, jazz, folk, country, rock 'n' roll or whatever - ‘Anything Goes’ to quote one song candidate!
