Site Access

We welcome you whatever your accessibility needs. Please get in touch via email or phone (see contact us page) if you have any questions. The site itself, and all main events, offers access for those using a wheelchair. However, if the weather turns out bad, the ground itself may become difficult to negotiate. Stewards are there to help in any emergency!

Even in good weather, the ground is not completely flat, as it's farmland normally occupied by sheep, so please be aware of this when getting about.

Specific facilities include:

  • Accessible toilets

  • Convenient disabled parking, and drop off at box-office entrance if preferred.

  • Camping in a location convenient for facilities.

  • Free electric charging points for mobility and other medical equipment (at arena checkpoint).

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in the campsite and main arena (see the terms and conditions page for general dogs policy)

  • Ground level reserved spaces for people with disability in covered stages (may not have an unrestricted sight-line if there are people in front of it).

  • Tickets are available for personal assistants, with the same eligibility as for the CEA card (see here). To apply, please email: information@southwellfolkfestival.org.uk.

  • We are happy to help where we can, so please ask a steward or in the box office, if there's anything we can do.
