
Local Artist Showcase 2022 - Thursday



On Thursday evening the Frontier Stage is dedicated to a showcase of some great rootsy artists from Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands. The night is hosted in association with "Bramley Live", who put on live events throughout the year locally.

Robby Singh
With a style reminiscent of Nick Drake, Robby sings originals and covers with a delicate feel and lovely guitar playing.

Liam Johnson
From Ollerton, Liam has been playing guitar for 15 years with bands as diverse as metal to Hindustani classical.

Malc Slate
Playing upbeat covers and original songs with consummate use of his loop pedal
18:20 to 18:50

Paul Carbuncle
Paul Carbuncle is armed with folk songs of Kent (via Nottingham), folk songs of Nottingham (via Kent) and “a formidable right hand”.
19:00 to 19:30

Huson-Whyte
Local duo and past winners of the open-mic, Sarah and Gordon perform original songs with wit and feeling.

Phil Ashmore & The Unit Five
American roots, folk and blues with a twist of jazz, rock and soul
20:20 to 21:.05

The Boutones
A bluesy, souly, vintage vibe with some punky attitude and a touch of Americana.
21:20 to 22:05

The Dolby Gang
With their roots firmly planted in country music, the ethos being to spread enjoyment and pleasure of the genre.

The Silk Road
An infectious blend of raw punk, gritty passionate lyrics, and foot stomping celtic jigs and reels
