THE PROCLAIMERS + DAY TICKETS

Announcement: THE PROCLAIMERS to headline GTSF 2026, playing Friday night! It’s just over 250 miles from Edinburgh to Southwell which means a round trip of around 500 miles! Yes! The Proclaimers will be performing at the Gate To Southwell Festival in July 2026! A limited batch of day tickets is on sale now, alongside full festival tickets which are selling at record speed.

Edwina Hayes

Playing either Thursday or Sunday (TBC) is Edwina Hayes. "The sweetest voice in England. A wonderful young woman, so gifted and full of song" Nanci Griffith.

Edwina brings together English folk, Americana and the rich Northern singer/songwriter tradition to create a sound that’s truly her own, and it's been a while since she's played GTSF: she played here with Nanci Griffith's band The Kennedys back at GTSF 2014. It's been too long!

Counter's Creek

Playing on Sunday: Counter's Creek. Four musicians from different backgrounds, united by a love of acoustic folk music, great tunes and earthy dance grooves. Original music inspired by the folk music of the British Isles and beyond. Jigs, reels, grooves from Eastern Europe & West Africa, catchy melodies with closely interwoven harmonies are allied to a real sense of swing and dance energy.
