Julia Waldron is a warm, engaging folk-Americana singer-songwriter known for gutsy vocals, heartfelt songs and natural humour on stage. After her first appearance at the festival in 2024, she wrote its 2025 anthem Meet Me at the Gate, marking a special connection with the event.

She's a well-known and well-loved performer on the thriving Sheffield live music scene and, now her children are older, she seeks to take her music on the road to a wider audience. Her influences span Folk and Americana genres, in her own words ‘it’s all about the song’.  Firm favourite songwriters include Gretchen Peters, Boo Hewerdine, Willie Nelson, Show of Hands and lifelong girl crush, Dolly Parton.
