EVOLUTION OF FISHERMEN

Formed in 2021 after training together as actor‑musicians, Evolution of Fishermen are a contemporary‑folk band centred around storytelling, close harmony and the merging of old and new. Moving from theatre roots to folk stages, they bring songs shaped equally by narrative depth and live collaboration.

Since forming, they’ve appeared at Deershed, Wilderness, Medicine Festival and Gate to Southwell, alongside shows at O2 Academy Islington, Green Note, Old Blue Last, Paper Dress Vintage and The Actors’ Church.

Their debut EP Days Like These (2024) received features on BBC Introducing and was launched with a sold‑out performance at St Bartholomew the Great in London.

The band recently branched out to a new project titled ‘The Circle’: a sold-out artist-collaboration series featuring the likes Alice Boyd, Maimuna Memon, Sophie Wright and Harry Collier hosted by Evolution of Fishermen as a house-band.
