Playing as part of the collaboration with the East Coast Music Association of Canada, we welcome Aboiteau from New Brunswick.

With most modern day French speaking Acadians living in New Brunswick it’s no surprise that Aboiteau sing in French. The five members present an exhilarating show which blends traditional folk, Celtic and rock. In 2025 they performed at the prestigious Lorient Festival in Brittany, but this will be their first visit to the UK.

Before heading overseas, ABOiTEAU completed a 22-date tour across Canada’s Maritime provinces with their live show C’est l’histoire de…, blending music and storytelling inspired by Acadian history and folklore. The tour followed multiple awards at FrancoFête en Acadie, including the prestigious Marc-Chouinard Acadie–France Prize, which led to a standout performance at Festival Pause Guitare in Albi, France.

Their latest album, C’est l’histoire de…, fuses folk, trad, Celtic, and rock influences, bringing larger-than-life Acadian characters — from early explorers to mythical figures — vividly to life. With a sound that feels both rooted and modern, ABOiTEAU delivers joyful, high-energy performances where stories, melodies, and rhythm come together in a true celebration of Atlantic culture.
