Over the Moon

Over the Moon 4.jpg

Canadian multi-instrumentalists Over the Moon feature vocal harmonies that are as sweet as you will ever have heard. Reviewing a show for RnR magazine, respected writer Jeremy Searle told readers: “They are naturals on stage, interspersing entertaining tongue-in-cheek banter with stories of their lives in the tiny community of Longview, Alberta. The pair also achieve that most important thing, establishing and maintaining a connection with the audience.

Craig Bignell and Suzanne Levesque live and breathe real cowboy country. Living on a ranch in the foothills of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, it’s inevitable there will be a strong sense of place and their music reflects the pulse of life in a territory that is both dirt-hard rugged and stunningly beautiful. It is a wild ride that takes in styles from 40’s Western Swing and Appalachian Old-Time, to cowboy blues.

Authentic and sweetly melodic, all of the material they play has a common thread that speaks of the Canadian west.

Back home, they’ve enjoyed immense success. Nominated in 2022 for a JUNO Award in the Roots Album of The Year category, and were nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award 2023 in the Ensemble of The Year section, and for Album of The Year 2023 in the Alberta Country Music Awards.

The very essence of traditional country-folk at it's finest. soothing for the soul and a glimpse into the ethereal
