Multi-instrumentalist N.C. Lawlor has enjoyed a twenty-five year professional career as a solo artist and session musician. He is widely known for his lap steel and slide guitar skills and has been noted by Bruce Springsteen, gigged with Seasick Steve, Shane McGowan, playwright/actor Sam Shepard and toured extensively with the “godfather of outlaw country “ Billy Joe Shaver.
He also keeps himself busy as one of the greatest blues buskers you'll see anywhere.
Currently he's composing for film on the Wirral; ”I always like to compose close to water and the Mersey has tender mercies all of its own”.
His explosive take on the blues has been described as “ transcendental “ and his tenderness with holding a ballad shows the opposite side of the coin is always at hand. Like all Irish artists “it’s complicated“.
