Lucy Gallant

Bright, colourful, and brilliant, Lucy Gallant has crafted her own genre, she lovingly refers to as bohemian folk-pop. Anchored in folk-roots and enriched by a twist of soul and reggae, her sound is fiercely original, experimental, and avant-garde.
Having toured the USA, South and Central America, Japan, Australia, the UK, and much of Europe, she has dazzled audiences at intimate venues and major festivals, including Glastonbury, Beautiful Days, Art Basel (US), and Australia’s largest music festivals, such as Splendour in the Grass, Woodford Folk Festival, and Byron Bay Bluesfest.
Her Burmese, Russian, Irish, English and Australian roots are eclectically reflected in Lucy's craft. As a multi-instrumentalist and one-woman show, she creates high-energy rhythms on the Cajón with her feet, while simultaneously singing and playing guitar and chimes.
“Lucy's a talented songwriter, singer, and musician. Her songs are smart, intelligent, and funny… her voice is beautiful and unique.”
Malcolm Haynes, Glastonbury Festival
“It is only a matter of time before she is a household name in Australia, on a major record label and headlining festivals here and around the world.”
Peter Noble, Festival Director, Bluesfest
