Iona is a young, upcoming folk singer and musician who is currently studying for a Folk degree at Leeds College of Music under the tuition of Jim Moray, Nancy Kerr and Bryony Griffith.
She'll be playing with her band on Saturday and solo on Sunday.
Performing a mix of traditional and original folk songs, Iona has been praised throughout the scene for her delicate yet powerful vocals, which have been captivating audiences up and down the country for several years.
Iona was nominated for the FATEA Award for Single/EP/Short Album of the Year 2017 and is set to release her debut album in 2020.
Since the release of her latest EP, ‘Golden Sleeves’, Iona has started to hone her songwriting even more with influences coming from folk, jazz, prog-rock and traditional music. Her songwriting is becoming more and more eclectic. Having supported many names within the folk scene including: Ken Nicol; Blair Dunlop; Larkin Poe; State of the Union; Iona Fyfe; Edgelarks; Luke Jackson; Gilmore & Roberts; Alden, Patterson & Dashwood; Boo Hewerdine; and The Askew Sisters to name a few. Iona has played many headline gigs across the UK as well as a co-headline tour with songwriter Kate Howden. Catch a rising star on the up!
