Burr Island

The duo, comprised of best friends Tom England & Oskar Porter, take their inspiration from the works of Lennon/McCartney, Paul Simon, Crosby Stills & Nash, Nick Drake, The Beach Boys and Cat Stevens as well as Fleet Foxes, Big Thief and Flyte. Piquing the ears of folk fans for their rich acoustic soundscapes, Burr Island bare their soul crafting poignant lyricism that poses thought-provoking questions about life’s pressing matters.
After recording at Kundalini Studios in Devon with Steve Cradock (Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, The Specials), their debut album garnered support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing and Radio X, as well as CLASH Magazine, Shindig!, Earmilk, Notion & Americana UK.
Recent live shows opening for Robert Plant & Saving Grace, Paul Weller, and PP Arnold as well as UK Tours supporting Ocean Colour Scene, Tunde (Voice of Lighthouse Family) & The Blow Monkeys.
The duo will head to Germany to tour with Amy Macdonald in July 2025, shortly after the festival.
